Charles DeYoung has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Charles started their career as a Store Manager at Walgreens Pharmacy in 2000 and later became a Community Leader at Walgreens in 2004. From 2013 to 2020, they worked at HealthPartners as a Manager of Pharmacy Operations, where they had overall accountability for Clinic Pharmacy Operations across multiple locations. In 2020, Charles joined Shields Health Solutions as a Sr. Manager, Patient Support Center, where they provided strong operational leadership to the centralized patient support operations. Charles was responsible for leading and motivating a patient-centered team, collaborating with regional leaders, overcoming patient barriers to medication adherence, and managing the department budget and goals. In 2022, Charles was promoted to Director of Operations at Shields Health Solutions.

Charles DeYoung obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from Capella University from 2016 to 2018. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Business Management from The College of St. Scholastica from 2003 to 2006. In addition to their degrees, Charles DeYoung obtained a certification in Team Management from McKinsey & Company in May 2021.
