John Lucey

As the President and co-founder, John Lucey has dedicated nearly a decade to building Shields Health Solutions into the market-leading partner for health systems looking to develop their specialty pharmacy care programs. John’s leadership has enabled nearly 850 hospitals to strengthen their clinical, operational and financial outcomes as well as provide improved care at a lower cost to their most critically ill patients.

John’s responsibilities have spanned all facets of the business. When starting Shields in 2012, John served as CFO of the organization, responsible for all strategic initiatives, payor contracting, and legal/finance functions. In 2016, John was awarded the joint title of CFO/COO, taking on the additional responsibilities of day-to-day operations, account management, and the overall growth of the organization.

Prior to Shields, John held several leadership positions with NFP-Thorbahn and Shields Healthcare Group. John is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and holds the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst.
