Amr Helmy

Amr Helmy has had a diverse range of work experiences. In 2009, they worked as an Attache temporaire d'enseignement et de recherche at Université Grenoble Alpes. From 2010 to 2011, they served as an Assitant professor at Nile University. Starting in 2011, Amr joined Intel Corporation as a Research scholar. Amr then went on to work at several academic institutions, including Cairo University and Université Francaise d'Egypte, where they held positions as an Adjunct Assistant Professor. In 2011, they also became an Assistant research professor at the American University in Cairo. From 2012 to 2017, Amr worked as an Adjunct assistant professor at Zewail City of Science and Technology. In 2017, they transitioned to the role of Assistant Professor at the same institution until 2021. In 2018, they co-founded Empower Energy Systems (EES) and held the role of Co-founder until 2021. Most recently, in 2019, Amr became the Co-founder and CTO of Shift EV.

Amr Helmy pursued their education in a disciplined and systematic manner, with a focus on micro and nano electronics. In 2000, they enrolled at Cairo University, where they completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Engineering in 2005. Eager to expand their knowledge and expertise in the field, they then pursued a Master's degree in Micro and Nano Electronics at Grenoble INP - UGA from 2005 to 2006. Continuing to strive for excellence, Amr went on to attain a Research Doctorate from Université Grenoble Alpes, specializing in Micro and Nano Electronics from 2006 to 2010. Through these educational experiences, Amr Helmy has developed a strong foundation and expertise in the field of micro and nano electronics.
