Jerry Byrd Jr.

Jerry Byrd Jr. has extensive work experience in the field of design and web development. Jerry started their career at George Mason University in 2008, where they served as a Web Developer and was responsible for designing the Applied Information Technology department logo and website. Jerry also developed templates and managed Drupal applications and media gallery.

In 2007, Jerry joined Unleashed Technologies as a Web Designer. During their time there, they designed and developed websites, templates, and logos. Jerry also assisted in front and back-end development, particularly in constructing Drupal templates.

In 2009, Jerry moved on to Siteworx, where they initially worked as an Associate Designer. In this role, they closely collaborated with art directors to finalize and polish designs. Jerry also designed website templates, style guides, email templates, and documented design specifications. From 2012 to 2015, they took on the role of Designer at Siteworx and focused on designing websites with a strong emphasis on visual experience. Jerry presented designs and worked closely with design leads to establish art direction for projects. Additionally, they provided assistance to front-end developers with animations and responsive breakpoint transitions.

Jerry's most recent work experience is with Shift7 Digital, where they have been employed since 2015. Jerry started as a Senior Designer and served as the lead designer for AARP’s Staying Sharp product. Jerry oversaw the creative direction and brand strategy for their responsive platform and mobile app. Jerry successfully balanced business requirements with user needs and provided art direction, visual comps, and interactive prototypes. In March 2022, they were promoted to the position of Design Lead at Shift7 Digital.

Jerry Byrd Jr. attended George Mason University from 2003 to 2008, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Art and Visual Design.
