Sowmya Shanmugam

Sowmya Shanmugam is a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in software engineering and technical advisory roles. Currently serving as a Technical Advisor at Shiksha Sopan - IIT Kanpur since February 2022, Sowmya has also held various positions at Microsoft from May 2016 to the present, progressing from Software Engineer Intern to Software Engineer II. A notable contributor to the OEM team and Enterprise Commerce MSIT, Sowmya has worked with technologies such as WCF, ASMX, and REST protocols. Academic qualifications include a Master's degree in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology (2021-2023) and a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli (2013-2017).
