Fernando DeLeon, VP, Northwest Division, oversees Shimmick’ operations in Northern California and the Pacific Northwest.

Fernando joined Shimmick in 2009 as a project sponsor, assuming key leadership roles on many of the Northwest Division’s projects, including the $82 million Golden Gate Bridge Seismic Retrofit, the $28 million BART Contra Costa Crossover, and the $52 million design build Dublin/Pleasanton BART Station. He also served as the deputy director for the $787 million Silicon Valley BART Extension Design-Build project.

Prior to Shimmick, Fernando worked for Kiewit Corporation, leading projects in California, Oregon, and Washington. At Kiewit, Fernando served as the construction manager and lead estimator and project manager on the $1.24 billion Oakland Bay Bridge Skyway.

Fernando holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Davis.
