Angelo de Jong is currently a Process Engineer Sustainability at Shin-Etsu PVC B.V., focusing on the development of sustainability projects for PVC materials. Prior to this role, Angelo held multiple positions at Asbeter BV, including Head of Research and Development and Laboratory Head, where responsibilities included designing experiments for asbestos breakdown and scaling laboratory results to pilot scale. Angelo also worked as a Bio-assay Biochemist at UPL and completed an internship researching Alzheimer's disease at Erasmus MC. Additional experience includes a position as a Chemical Analyst at SGS and earlier roles in retail and publishing. Angelo holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Biochemistry from Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences and completed HAVO studies in Natuur en Techniek/Natuur en Gezondheid at Calvijn Groene Hart.

Shin-Etsu PVC B.V.

Shin-Etsu PVC is onderdeel van Shin-Etsu Chemical Ltd., één van de grootste en oudste chemieconcerns van Japan. In Nederland produceren we in twee moderne fabrieken. Op het Bedrijvenpark Rotterdam Botlek wordt vinylchloride monomeer (VCM) geproduceerd. De VCM wordt per pijpleiding vervoerd naar onze fabriek in Pernis, waar er uiteindelijk polyvinylchloride (PVC) van wordt gemaakt. In ons werk staan prestatie, kwaliteit, innovatie, milieu en veiligheid centraal. Onze klanten zijn verspreid over heel Europa en verwerken onze PVC in leidingsystemen, raamkozijnen, kabels, vloerbedekking en zelfs in supersnelle sportwagens!
