Shine a Light Counseling Center
Emma Ashley-Roth is a professional therapist with extensive experience in bilingual and trauma-informed therapy. Currently serving as a therapist at Shine a Light Counseling Center since April 2024, Emma previously worked as a staff therapist at La Familia Counseling Service, where responsibilities included providing therapy to children and their families, as well as conducting assessments and treatment plans in compliance with Medi-Cal standards. Prior roles include a trainee position at CORA, where Emma supported survivors of relationship abuse, and internships providing therapy in diverse environments such as Jail Behavioral Health Services and various support services. Emma holds a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from San Francisco State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish Language and Literature and Sociology from Clark University.
