Deputy Director Fiscal Support Services at Shine Early Learning

Michaelyn Meave has a diverse work experience spanning over the years. Michaelyn is currently working as the Deputy Director of Fiscal Support Services at Shine Early Learning since May 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior Director of Development at Keep Indianapolis Beautiful, Inc. from 2018 to 2021, where they played a significant role in connecting businesses with community service opportunities. Michaelyn also chaired the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging task force and co-authored a DEIB charter and new strategic plan for the organization. Earlier, they worked as the Director of Education at both United Way of Central Indiana and Planned Parenthood of Indiana and Kentucky. Michaelyn also served as the IN-PACT Program Manager at Planned Parenthood. Additionally, they worked as a Program Coordinator at the Indiana State Department of Health, Communications Specialist at the National Healthy Start Association, Tutor at America Reads, Research Assistant at the University of Michigan, and Research Assistant/Doula at the Center for the Childbearing Year.

Michaelyn Meave pursued their education in a comprehensive manner, as evident from their education history. Michaelyn completed their Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan between 2004 and 2008. Their field of study during this period focused on Women's Studies, particularly Gender and Health. It provided their with a solid foundation in understanding the intersection of women's issues and healthcare.

Continuing their academic journey, Michaelyn Meave enrolled at the George Washington University School of Public Health and Health Services from 2009 to 2011. During this period, they obtained their Master's Degree, specializing in Public Health with a focus on Maternal Child Health. This advanced degree equipped their with valuable knowledge and skills to address the unique challenges faced by mothers and children in the field of public health.
