Shelby Coltson

Accounting Clerk at Shingle & Gibb Automation

Shelby Coltson began their work experience in 2013 as a Lead Front Desk Agent at Fort Custer Education Center, where they checked soldiers in and out of their housing and provided information on off-base activities. Shelby then worked at McCamly Plaza Hotel, a Grand Heritage Property, starting in 2015. In this role, they served as an Accounting/Human Resources Manager, handling accounts receivable and employee paperwork, and later became a Front Desk Supervisor, handling reservations and training new staff. Shelby then moved on to become Assistant General Manager at McCamly Plaza Hotel, an Innisfree Property in 2016. In this role, they managed five departments and provided troubleshooting and long-term solutions. Most recently, in 2018, Shelby joined Shingle & Gibb Automation as an Accounting Clerk.

Shelby Coltson completed an Associate's Degree in General Studies from Kellogg Community College from 2014 to 2016. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management at Grand Valley State University from 2016 to 2018.
