Asako Sakae

Asako Sakae is a seasoned marketing professional with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, currently serving as Senior Director and Consumer Marketing Lead at Shionogi Inc. since January 2024. Prior to this role, Asako held various senior positions at Teva Pharmaceuticals from July 2019 to November 2023, including Senior Director of Global Digital Health Marketing and Senior Director of Consumer Strategic Marketing. Asako's career began at Sanofi, where positions included US Patient Lead for Sotagliflozin Marketing and Senior Director for PRALUENT Patient Marketing, among other roles. Earlier experience includes a directorial position at Monster. Asako Sakae holds an M.B.A. in Marketing and Finance from NYU Stern School of Business and a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations and French from Bucknell University.
