Chinmay Deshpande has a diverse work experience in the field of Real-World Evidence (RWE) and Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR). They started their career at Adelphi Values in 2011 as a Research Associate in Healthcare Analytics and later became a Senior Research Associate. In 2014, they joined Pharmerit as a Lead Outcomes Researcher, focusing on Patient Reported Outcomes (PRO).
In 2016, Chinmay moved on to Pharmerit International as an Associate Scientist in HEOR-RWE, gaining experience in RWE/HEOR strategy and value generation in various disease areas such as Oncology, Cardiovascular, Respiratory, Urology, and Opioid-Addiction.
In 2018, they joined Novartis as an Associate Director in US HE&OR, where they led RWE-HEOR strategy and plans for multiple products, including Kesimpta and Aimovig. They were also responsible for product launches and generating impactful RWE to demonstrate product differentiation and economic value.
Chinmay continued their journey at Novartis as the Director of US HE&OR, overseeing successful product launches and collaborating with Amgen on life cycle management for erenumab in migraine and Gilenya for multiple sclerosis. They were recognized with the Novartis US CDMA Award during this role.
Currently, they are serving as the Senior Director of Real-World Evidence & Epidemiology at Shionogi Inc. since 2023.
Chinmay Deshpande has a diverse education history in the field of pharmaceutical sciences, pharmacoeconomics, and public health. CHINMAY completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Pharmacoepidemiology and Pharmacoeconomics from the University of Rhode Island, where they studied from 2012 to 2016. Prior to their Ph.D., they obtained a Master's degree in Pharmacoepidemiology and Pharmacoeconomics from the same university, studying from 2009 to 2011. Additionally, Deshpande served as a Research Assistant at the University of Louisiana in 2008-2009, focusing on Pharmaceutical Sciences.
Before their time at the University of Rhode Island, Deshpande pursued their undergraduate education at Savitribai Phule Pune University. CHINMAY completed their Bachelor's in Pharmacy from 2003 to 2007, becoming a Registered Pharmacist. Apart from their formal degrees, Deshpande also engaged in independent coursework in Public Health at Boston University.
