Jaime Welsh

Jaime Welsh is an esteemed Associate at Shipman & Goodwin LLP, specializing in complex commercial litigation, bankruptcy cases, and insolvency proceedings within the Business Litigation group since October 2015. Additionally, Jaime served as an Adjunct Professor of Health Law at Eastern Connecticut State University from January 2018 to 2020, developing and teaching courses for undergraduate students. Legal experience includes roles as a Legal Extern at Hartford HealthCare, conducting research and reviewing contracts, and as a Student Representative at the Asylum and Human Rights Clinic, where representation of asylum applicants was a key responsibility. Prior legal positions included drafting documents for the Connecticut Green Bank, conducting research for the Connecticut Office of the Attorney General, and assisting clients at the Center for Children's Advocacy. Educational qualifications include a Juris Doctor with Honors and a Graduate Certificate in Human Rights from the University of Connecticut School of Law, complemented by a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and French from the University of Connecticut. Additional education was completed at Université Paris-Sorbonne.
