Micheal Griffin

Micheal Griffin has a long work history, beginning with their role as Roofer at Griffin Roofing in 2011. From 2012 to 2016, they worked as a Landscaper at Rocksolid Landsculpting, where they constructed retaining walls, patios and staircases, as well as providing sod replacements and excavation services, including lawn and garden care. In 2008, Micheal worked as a Shift Supervisor at Starbucks. From 2016 to 2019, they were the Project Lead Developer at Baha'i World Centre. Most recently, Micheal has been the Director of Engineering at ShippingTree since 2019. In this role, they have helped direct the vision of the technical department and enhance the core competencies of the business through collaboration with stakeholders, operations, management and customer service. The tech stack uses a microservices architecture, loosely coupling the various services of the business while ensuring high availability using a distributed cloud deployment with Kubernetes, AWS, React, CI/CD and Test Driven Development.

Micheal Griffin attended The University of British Columbia from 2010 to 2016, where they obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in Computer Engineering.
