The role & the team
Lead a newly founded team and build out best in class carrier capabilities as well as take this product to market. You'll be responsible for assembling and managing a team of 3-5 professionals to strengthen and expand our commercial presence in the region. This role will also involve driving the commercial team to meet annual targets, representing the team at senior leadership meetings, and collaborating with other business heads in the region to achieve our strategic objectives seamlessly. This is a pivotal role for a dynamic leader ready to make a significant impact based in the Singapore Shippit office.
Day to day
- Strategically execute and adapt the commercial strategy to meet market demands.
- Maintain a regular operating cadence through weekly and monthly meetings, reporting directly to senior leadership.
- Establish and run systems and processes including sales pipeline reviews, weekly business reviews, product initiatives, program management.
- Oversee strategic accounts and lead a small sales team towards results against target.
- Work with other teams (operations, marketing, R&D) to be able to drive results and build quickly.

- Demonstrated experience with network supply building in the region.
- Proven track record in managing go-to-market strategies and business expansion.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with experience in resource-limited settings, ready to take initiative and drive growth.
- Comfortable with hands-on roles and committed to achieving high-impact results.
- Availability to travel within Malaysia, Indonesia, and the broader Southeast Asia region.
- Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and Bahasa Malaysia is highly advantageous.
