Miles Traer is an experienced data science leader currently serving as the Director of Data Science at Shipt, where strategic insights and analytics are leveraged to shape business, product, and marketing strategies. With a robust background that includes roles such as Sr. Data Science Manager and Head of Data Science at ClearMob, Miles has demonstrated expertise in managing diverse teams and executing data-driven solutions. In addition to professional roles, Miles is a Lecturer and Founding Fellow at Odd Salon, sharing knowledge on topics ranging from natural history to geological phenomena. An accomplished academic, Miles holds a Ph.D. in Geological and Earth Sciences from Stanford University and has contributed to significant research, including advancements in modeling techniques and reservoir prediction during tenure at Stanford and Chevron.
