Ghazal Shafiee

Ghazal Shafiee, PhD, is an experienced academic and industry professional specializing in agrotechnology and precision agriculture. At Shiraz University since February 2017, Ghazal has served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, instructing over 500 students across six courses, leading labs, and mentoring in precision agriculture while also contributing as a Graduate Research Assistant in areas including remote sensing, GIS, and UAV applications. Currently a University Lecturer for a course on New Technology in Crop Production, Ghazal integrates concepts such as vertical farming and smart farming into the curriculum. In addition, Ghazal held the position of Training and Quality Assurance Manager at Veggitech, overseeing research and development for a major indoor vertical saffron farm while ensuring best practices in crop quality. Educational achievements include a PhD in Agrotechnology, an MS in Weed Science, and a BS in Crop Production and Plant Breeding, all from Shiraz University.
