Erika M. has over 30 years of work experience in various roles. Erika started their career as a Project and Product Engineer at Cummins Filtration, where they oversaw product design, manufacturing cost, and quality. Erika then became the Global Product Manager, responsible for overseeing product lines grossing over $150 million annually. Erika later served as the Director of Global Customer Excellence and the General Manager of America's Aftermarket & Small Engine Market at Cummins Filtration. In these roles, they achieved significant accomplishments such as maintaining a 100% on-time delivery rate to customers and achieving a profit margin of $4 million despite a decline in sales. Erika also worked as a High School Teacher, Physics, and Mathematics at Cannon County High School, where they developed and implemented an Engineering Design curriculum. Most recently, they worked as a Utilities Engineer at Arnold AFB. Additionally, Erika has experience as a General Manager, Department Head of Engineering at SHIROKI North America, Inc., where they led corporate manufacturing and engineering teams, launched new product programs, and implemented cost reduction initiatives.

Erika M. pursued their education at the Tennessee Technological University from 1985 to 1989. During this time, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Later in 2001, Erika enrolled at the Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee to complete their Executive MBA, which they successfully obtained.
