Chris Bauer

Chris Bauer, PE, PMP, LEED AP, is an experienced professional in the civil engineering field, currently serving as the Industrial Development Market Leader at Shive-Hattery since May 2004. In this role, Chris oversees strategic planning, employee management, business development, and project delivery within the Industrial Development market. Chris has previously held positions as Community Development Team Leader and Group Leader, managing a team that serves regional and national clients with comprehensive civil engineering, land surveying, and environmental services. Prior experiences include working as a Concrete Paving Research Assistant at Iowa State University and as a Civil Engineer at the Washington County Engineers Office. Chris holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Iowa State University and completed Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in June 2013. Additionally, Chris participated in leadership programs through the Greater Des Moines Leadership Academy and the West Des Moines Leadership Academy.
