Christian Walter

Christian Walter has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Christian started their career as a Research Intern at ITRI, Center for Measurement Standards in 2006. Christian then worked as a Student Assistant at TU Ilmenau, Institute of Measurement and Sensor Technology in 2007. In 2009, they joined Bosch Rexroth as an R&D Engineer, specializing in Actuators & Sensors. From 2010 to 2014, they worked as a Research Assistant at ETH Zürich. In 2015, they joined SHL Medical and held multiple positions, including Project Manager - Engineering from 2015 to 2017, Manager - Development & Engineering from 2017 to 2018, Senior Manager - Project Management in 2019, and Director - Project Management from 2019 to 2021. Currently, they serve as the Global Head Operations Engineering at SHL Medical.

Christian Walter began their education in 2003 at Technische Universität Ilmenau, where they pursued a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Christian completed their studies in 2008 and obtained a Dipl.-Ing. degree.

Following this, Christian attended ETH Zürich from 2010 to 2014, specializing in Production Engineering and Laser Technology in pursuit of a Dr. sc. ETH degree.

In addition to their formal education, Christian has acquired several certifications. These include ISO 13485:2016 Lead Auditor from BSI, obtained in December 2021, PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) from Project Management Institute, obtained in September 2021, and Project Management Professional (PMP) from Project Management Institute, obtained in August 2021. Christian also holds a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification from Deutsche Gesellschaft für Qualität (DGQ), earned in August 2018. Christian obtained their TOCFL Mandarin - Listening and Reading - Level A2 certification from the Ministry of Education Republic of China (Taiwan) in March 2017.

Christian has also completed the Validation Manager - Medical Devices program offered by CONCEPT HEIDELBERG GmbH in November 2015. Christian acquired the Laser Safety Officer certification from LASERVISION GmbH & Co. KG in 2013. Additionally, they hold a Quality Systems Manager Junior certification from Deutsche Gesellschaft für Qualität (DGQ), earned in October 2008.
