Joshua Atkins MD, PhD, CPE, FASA serves as a Professor of Anesthesiology & Critical Care at Penn Medicine, University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine since July 2007, bringing extensive experience in the perioperative environment, focusing on quality and safety, clinical research, and education. In addition, Joshua serves on the advisory board for SHL Telemedicine, holds the position of Vice President of Financial Affairs for the Pennsylvania Society of Anesthesiologists, and contributes as a medical consultant for Medtronic-Covidien and Becton Dickinson Company, offering expertise in airway management and medication safety technologies. Joshua's educational background includes an MD and PhD in Organic Chemistry from Columbia University, and a CPE in Healthcare Leadership from the American Association for Physician Leadership.
