Chuck Swanson, E.I.T., is a staff engineer at SHN Engineers & Geologists, Inc. since August 2016, bringing extensive experience in environmental engineering and water quality research. Previously, Chuck held roles as a staff engineer and operations manager at the Arcata Marsh Research Institute, where contributions included leading research teams to enhance a constructed wetland wastewater treatment system and collaborating with city officials to identify operational improvements. Earlier career experiences include positions as a research technician at Arcata wastewater treatment facility, student research assistant at Humboldt State University under Professor Matthew Hurst, construction laborer, containerized freight hauler, and ranch hand. Chuck holds both a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Resources Engineering from Humboldt State University, completed between 2013 and 2015.
