John Wharington

John Wharington is a seasoned professional in the field of aerospace engineering, currently serving as Principal System Engineer at Shoal Group Pty Ltd since April 2022. Prior to this role, John held significant positions at Defence Science and Technology (DST) from December 1999 to April 2022, where responsibilities included Discipline Lead and Senior Research Scientist. John’s academic background includes a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Aerospace Engineering from RMIT University, completed between 1993 and 1998, complemented by a Graduate Diploma in Scientific Leadership from the University of Melbourne in 2007 and a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) with Honours in Aerospace Engineering from RMIT University, attained from 1989 to 1992.
