Christopher Wood has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Christopher started their career in 1994 as a Senior IS Architect at Hongkong Telecom / Cable & Wireless, where they developed software frameworks, infrastructures, and marketing data warehouse systems. From 1997 to 2003, they worked as a freelance consultant, providing expertise in software systems analysis and design, and developing industrial electronics for selected customers.
In 2004, Christopher joined Neve Corporation as a Technical Director, where they conducted research and development on GPS-based positioning devices, along with strategic consulting and systems integration in industrial automation. In 2008, they became the Chairman and co-founder of XPED Holdings, a patent and IP holding company specializing in IoT patents and related software and hardware.
With a strong background in software engineering, Christopher joined BAE Systems in 2020 as a software engineer. Currently, they are working as the CTO and co-founder of Shomei - Xped Inc since March 2023. Overall, Christopher's experience spans over two decades and includes roles in software engineering, consulting, research, and development.
Christopher Wood attended Mazenod College from 1974 to 1979. Christopher then pursued a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree in Electrical and Computer Systems at Monash University from 1980 to 1983.
