Akua Murphy

Akua Murphy is an accomplished professional in the film and digital content industry, currently serving as the Director of Short Form Content at Shondaland since July 2012, where responsibilities include overseeing the development and production of original video content. Previous roles at Shondaland include managing digital production and providing administrative support to the Executive Producer of major TV series. Experience also includes a position as Development & Production Coordinator at IndieVest Pictures, where Akua coordinated all phases of film production, and as an Assistant in the Legal Department at 20th Century Fox, analyzing scripts and managing talent contracts. Academic credentials include an M.F.A. from the University of Southern California and a B.A. from Yale University.
