Michael Zito

Michael Zito is a seasoned attorney with extensive experience in business litigation and corporate services, currently serving as a Partner at Shook, Hardy & Bacon since March 2012. Previously, Zito held the position of Member at Lathrop & Gage from January 2004 to March 2012. Zito also served in the United States Army Reserve as part of the Judge Advocate General's Corps from 1991 to 2012. In academia, Zito was an Adjunct Instructor at Georgetown University Law Center from 2002 to 2005, where trial practice was taught to law students. Zito's legal career includes roles as a Trial Attorney at the Federal Trade Commission from September 2000 to October 2002 and as Unit Manager and Assistant Attorney General at the Missouri Attorney General’s Office from August 1996 to September 2000. Zito earned a J.D. from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law and a B.A. in History from Truman State University, as well as completing the Judge Advocate Officer Basic Course at the University of Virginia.
