Daniel Pieper

Daniel Pieper has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Daniel is the Head of Automation at ShopBack, Asia-Pacific's leading shopping and rewards platform. Prior to this role, they were the CIO and Co-founder of hoolah, a Singapore-based fintech company that revolutionized shopping with BNPL solutions and was later acquired by ShopBack. Daniel also worked as a Senior Technology Consultant at Mastercard, where they delivered technology solutions and drove innovation and business strategies. Before that, they served as the APAC Outsourcing Manager and Deployment Advisory at Credit Suisse, where they spearheaded efficiency and cost-saving initiatives. Daniel started their career as a Management Consultant at Ernst & Young, consulting international clients on process and performance improvement. Daniel also gained valuable experience as a Research Analyst at International Management & Innovation Consultancy, conducting a university research project on R&D efficiency. Additionally, Daniel co-founded kommSolutions, a pioneering software company in Germany, and served as its CEO, scaling the start-up into a profitable SME. Daniel started their career as a self-employed software developer and project manager, working on e-commerce projects during the dot-com era. With a strong background in technology, finance, management consulting, and entrepreneurship, Daniel brings a wealth of expertise and leadership to their current role at ShopBack.

Daniel Pieper's education history begins in 2005 when they enrolled at Hochschule Flensburg. Daniel pursued a degree in Information Technology and Business Administration and completed their studies in 2011, earning a Diplom (FH) degree.
