Shlomi Amitai

Shlomi Amitai has a wealth of experience in the field of computer vision and deep learning. In 2008, they began their career at Intel Corporation as a Circuit Design Engineer. In 2010, they moved to Zoran as a Physical Design Engineer, where they were involved in CAD and Physical Design. In 2011, they took on the role of Teaching Assistant at the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. In 2012, they joined Rafael Advanced Defense Systems as an Image Processing & Computer Vision Algorithm Developer. In 2014, they moved to Camtek as an Algorithms Team Leader and Image Processing & Computer Vision Algorithm Engineer. In 2018, they joined Oryx Vision as a Computer Vision and Deep Learning Lead. In 2019, they moved to Samsung Electronics as an Algorithms Team Lead and Sr. Computer Vision and Deep Learning Engineer. Finally, in 2022, they joined Shopic as an Algorithms Team Lead and Innovation.

Shlomi Amitai obtained their MSc in Electrical Engineering from Technion - Israel Institute of Technology between 2011 and 2014, and their B.Sc in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Signal Processing, Optics, and Biological Systems from the same institution between 2005 and 2009. Shlomi also holds two certifications from Coursera, Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization (obtained in August 2018) and Neural Networks and Deep Learning (obtained in June 2018).
