Samer Fahmy

Samer Fahmy is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in software development and management. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Shopify since May 2019, Samer oversees product and engineering strategies within the Automation and Extensibility domain, targeting large merchants for business process automation and system integration. In addition, Samer co-founded Nadeeni in June 2020 to promote mentorship and career development globally. Prior experience includes roles as VP Engineering at Zenreach, where Samer directed engineering operations and opened a new office, and multiple leadership positions at BlackBerry, culminating in the management of software portfolio innovation and the development of key applications. Samer holds an MBA from Wilfrid Laurier University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Software Engineering from McMaster University.
