Born in India, Vivek Sharma has always been driven to succeed. After earning their degree in business, they began their career as a sales manager for the Aditya Birla Group. Vivek quickly rose through the ranks, impressing their superiors with their dedication and hard work. In 2001, they joined McKinsey & Company as an associate partner. During their time there, they worked with some of the world's largest companies, helping them to improve their operations. In 2009, they left McKinsey to join Yahoo as the GM of Yahoo Mail & Messenger and the VP of Yahoo Search. Vivek was responsible for 110 million Yahoo Mail users and 500 million daily Yahoo searches. In 2013, they left Yahoo to join The Walt Disney Company as the SVP of eCommerce & Digital Guest Experience. Vivek led the $10 billion eCommerce and digital guest experience for 150 million annual guests across theme parks, cruises, resorts, restaurants and retail businesses globally. In 2020, they left Disney to join ShopInSync as an advisor.
Vivek Sharma completed their Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) at the Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi. Vivek then went on to earn their Master of Business Administration (MBA) from INSEAD. Vivek has also completed certifications from Harvard Business School in Competing on Business Analytics & Big Data and Finance for Senior Executives.
