Carel van Rijsewijk

Carel Van Rijsewijk is an experienced professional in the field of information technology and management, currently serving as a member of the expert jury for the Shopping Awards, focusing on new technologies and innovation since December 2023. Previous roles include Information Manager, Project Manager, and Information Technology Manager at Wasco from March 2023 to August 2024, and serving as a jury member for the Stichting Shopping Awards from December 2022 to March 2023. Carel held the position of Program Manager at Udea BV from January 2020 to February 2023 and was a member of the expert group for Shopping Tomorrow, addressing future-proof technologies for digital commerce. Prior experience includes a managerial role in ICT at Welkoop from February 2012 to January 2020, as well as leadership positions at Agri Retail, which included Head IT, Chairman of the Works Council, and Team Leader for ICT from 2003 to 2012, and Oracle DBA/UNIX sysadmin at Agri Retail B.V. from 2001 to 2003.
