Borek Bernard

Borek Bernard has extensive work experience in software development and leadership roles. Borek started their career in 2002 as a Software Developer at H&T comtech, s.r.o. In 2007, they worked as a Software Developer at DataMatters Ltd, where they rebuilt several products and led the company's transition to a new frontend technology. Borek also assisted in server migration and built web services.

In 2010, Borek joined Tatra banka as a Senior Software Developer and worked there until 2013. Borek then worked as a freelance Senior Software Developer from 2007 to 2012.

In 2012, Borek joined Agilio.cz as a Team Lead and Project Manager. Borek designed UX for various products, led an engineering team, and contributed to software architecture.

In 2013, Borek founded VersionPress and served as the Founder and CEO. Borek co-authored VersionPress, a version control plugin for WordPress, and developed a database merging technology. Borek also worked on frontends for the application.

Since 2019, Borek has been working at Shoptet. Borek initially joined as a Team Lead and Solution Architect, where they led a team of JS/TS developers and worked on projects like "SOFA" and "SOFA Cloud". In 2022, they took on the role of CTO.

Borek Bernard attended the Prague University of Economics and Business from 2001 to 2006, where they completed their Ing. degree in IT/Economics.
