Emily Kenney has a diverse work experience spanning from 2008 to 2017. Emily began their career in 2008 as a Marketing Intern and a Marketing Coordinator for the Cooperative for Education. In 2010, they took on a role as Travel Coordinator for Global Brigades, Inc. In 2012, they returned to the Cooperative for Education as a Scholarship Program Expansion and Blog Development. From 2013 to 2014, they worked for the American Red Cross as an International Humanitarian Law Intern and Program Officer, Youth Education, International Humanitarian Law. In 2014, they were a StartingBloc Fellow in DC. From 2015 to 2016, they were a Monitoring & Evaluation Consultant for the Center for Knowledge Societies (CKS) and an In-Country Coordinator for Results for Development. In 2016, they also worked as a Consultant for Desiderata Impact Ventures. Finally, in 2017, they became the Co-Founder and COO of wearwell.

Emily Kenney has an education history that includes a Master's Degree in International Development from American University (2012-2014) and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Emily'story and International Affairs from Xavier University (2004-2008). Additionally, they have obtained certifications from The Evaluators' Institute, InsideNGO, International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, and the American Red Cross, including Evaluating Training Programs, Project Management for Development Professionals (PMD Pro 2 and PMD Pro 1), Training of Trainers, Youth as Agents of Behavioral Change - Peer Educator Training, Client Casework - Disaster Action Team, and Shelter Fundamentals - Disaster Action Team.
