Pedro Pinto

Pedro Pinto has extensive work experience in the compliance field. Pedro is currently the Head of Compliance at Shore Capital since January 2020. Prior to that, they worked at William Blair as a Compliance Officer from August 2011 to November 2019. Pedro also served as the Head of Compliance / Partner at Peel Hunt from December 2005 to August 2011. Before that, Pedro was a Compliance Manager at Williams de Broe from July 2001 to December 2005. Pedro also held the role of Field Compliance Director at Edward Jones from April 2000 to June 2001. Pedro's career began at Sage Life as a Broker Consultant/Underwriter from July 1996 to March 1999.

Pedro Pinto attended Maritzburg College from 1986 to 1990. Pedro then pursued a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree in Economics, Legal Studies, and Business Administration from the University of KwaZulu-Natal from 1991 to 1993. In addition to their formal education, Pedro obtained certifications in Series 7 from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) in November 2016, Compliance Oversight Function from the Financial Conduct Authority in October 2009, and Money Laundering Reporting Officer from the Financial Conduct Authority in October 2009.
