Ronald Brandt

Ronald Brandt is an experienced marine and security professional with a diverse career spanning several decades. Currently serving as a Captain at Shoreline Sightseeing since June 2019 and a Master Mariner as a self-employed professional since August 2017, Ronald holds a towing endorsement and is a Master 100 GRT Near Coastal. Previously, Ronald worked as a Senior Marine Unit Deputy at the Lake County Sheriff's Office from June 2005 to May 2022 and served as a retired Commander at the Niles Police Department from July 1992 to May 2022. In addition to practical experience, Ronald has contributed to education as an Adjunct Professor at the College of Lake County, teaching Autism Awareness for Law Enforcement from September 2011 to June 2016. Ronald's early career includes serving as a Boatswain's Mate 3rd Class in the U.S. Coast Guard. Educational credentials include a Bachelor's in Multi-/Interdisciplinary Studies from Northeastern Illinois University and an Associate's degree in Criminal Justice/Police Science from Oakton College.
