Robert Palmer has extensive work experience in the field of cybersecurity and technology. Robert started their career in 2003 as a Requirements Analyst at Cyios Corporation. Robert then worked as a Security Analyst and Incident Response Team Lead at Telos Corporation from 2004 to 2006. From 2006 to 2007, they served as an Information Assurance Technical Area Manager at SI International. In 2007, they joined COLSA as an IA Program Manager. Robert then worked at Knowledge Consulting Group and Transportation Security Administration (TSA) where they held positions related to Security Operations Center Oversight and Information Assurance Audit and Operational Support. In 2011, they became an Assistant Director of Information Assurance Audit and Operational Support at TSA. From 2012 to 2017, they worked at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, where they held various roles including Director of Information Assurance and Deputy Executive Director. Currently, they are the Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at ShorePoint Inc, where they focus on cybersecurity strategy and risk-based decision-making.

Robert Palmer earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Teaching from Salisbury University from 1992 to 1996. Later, they pursued a Masters Certificate in IT Program Management from The George Washington University from 2011 to 2012.
