Valery Berestetsky

Valery Berestetsky, CISSP, CSSLP, is an experienced professional in the field of cybersecurity and secure development, currently serving as a Threat Modeling Course Instructor at Shostack + Associates since July 2021. Previously, Valery held key positions at GE Healthcare as a Principal Product Security Leader and Senior Cyber Security Consultant from November 2014 to July 2021, and at Microsoft Corporation as a Security/Technical Program Manager from November 2001 to October 2014. Valery's career also includes roles as a Software Designer, Senior Specialist, and Product Line Manager at Nortel between January 1995 and July 2001, and as a Software Designer at Newbridge Networks from March 1993 to December 1994. Valery holds a Master's degree in Applied Mathematics from Odessa I.I. Mechnikov National University.
