David Powell

David Powell is a highly experienced architectural professional currently serving as a Partner and Principal at SHP since February 2021. Prior to this role, David held the position of Project Director for Architecture/Construction at Whittle School & Studios from February 2018 to July 2020, where responsibilities included managing senior-level projects for national and international education initiatives. David’s career also includes significant roles as a Senior Project Manager at Wight & Company and Cannon Design, focusing on K-12 education projects, and as a Senior Project Architect/Manager at Perkins and Will, overseeing diverse building typologies. David has an academic background as an Adjunct Professor in Computer Aided Design at the Illinois Institute of Technology. Educational qualifications include a B.S. in Architecture from The Ohio State University and a Master of Architecture from Miami University.
