Rebecca Patten

Rebecca Patten is an experienced professional in educational and member engagement roles. Currently, as a Specialist in Exam HR Content and Student Communities at SHRM since August 2022, Rebecca has successfully managed relationships with 200 chapter affiliates and 18 state councils, developed training content, launched marketing campaigns using Adobe Marketo, and analyzed membership trends to enhance customer experiences. Prior to SHRM, Rebecca served as an English Teacher in Fairfax County Public Schools from September 2015 to June 2022, where leadership roles included Department Chair and team leader for collaborative and interdisciplinary initiatives. Rebecca's earlier experience as an Administrative Coordinator at Metropolitan Healthcare Services involved supporting HR operations and managing event logistics. Educational qualifications include an M.A.T. in Secondary Education from USC Rossier School of Education and a B.A. in English Language and Literature from George Mason University.
