Timothy Loomis is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in intellectual property (IP) law and strategy. As a Partner at Shumaker & Sieffert since 2019, Timothy develops advanced IP strategies and policies to enhance client value, focusing on portfolio management and patent prosecution across various technologies. Previously, as CLO and Corporate Secretary at Roshmere, Inc., Timothy crafted IP and commercialization strategies for a silicon photonics start-up and negotiated complex commercial contracts. Timothy's prior experience at Qualcomm from 2003 to 2018 involved leading a multinational IP policy team and managing a substantial department of IP professionals, significantly contributing to the creation and growth of a vast portfolio of intellectual property rights. Timothy holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Political Science from Duke University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law.
