Vivaan Kakkar

Vivaan Kakkar is an Engineering Intern at Shur-Lok Co., SPS Fasteners Division since May 2023, where professional drawings and models are produced using SolidWorks software while ensuring compliance with industry and customer standards. Additionally, Vivaan conducts annual testing of fluid fitting products at high pressures. In the same month, Vivaan became a Recovery/Airframe Engineer for the UCI Rocket Project, focusing on developing shock force reduction methods for safer parachute deployment and researching a redundant dual-deployment recovery system for the next generation liquid rocket. Vivaan is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering at UC Irvine, expected to graduate in June 2025, and holds a high school diploma from Chino Hills High School.
