Richard Rykhus is currently the Head of Global Learning and Development at Shure Incorporated, starting in November 2021. Prior to their current role, they served as the Chief Performance Leader at R2 Team starting in March 2020. Before that, Richard worked at Equity LifeStyle Properties, Inc. as the Sr. Director of Talent Development from February 2016 to February 2020. Richard was responsible for various initiatives, including the development and launch of new programs and driving data-focused assessments. Richard also has experience at Grant Thornton LLP, where they held multiple roles related to people and culture, strategic learning, and management from April 2003 to January 2016. Additionally, they co-founded and worked as a partner at Thinkeractive, providing technology-based learning solutions for businesses and guiding school integration of technology and learning from June 2000 to April 2003.

Richard Rykhus, CDP holds a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing and BA Spanish from Michigan State University. Richard also has a Master's Degree in Learning Sciences with a focus on Learning Theory, Technology, and Cognitive Psychology from Northwestern University. In addition, Richard has obtained several certifications including Certified Diversity Professional (CDP) from the Institute for Diversity Certification in 2020. Richard has also completed certifications in Leading L&D, GlobeSmart Profile™, Empathy at Work, Inclusive Leadership, Team Collaboration in Office 365 (Microsoft 365), and Change Management Leader. Richard has additional certifications as a certified facilitator in the Development Dimensions International (DDI) and DiSC Profile System. Additionally, they have pursued Spanish Language and Culture studies at Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia - U.N.E.D.
