René van Rappard

René van Rappard has held a variety of roles in the finance industry since 2008. René began their career as an Associate at McKinsey & Company, and then held a Summer Associate role at Hudson Clean Energy in 2011. René then moved to AlpInvest Partners in 2013, where they were a Senior Associate - Secondaries. In 2017, they became the Finance & Strategy Manager at Catawiki. In 2018, they were appointed CFO at OneFit, and in 2019, they moved to Urban Sports Club as VP of Finance. Most recently, in 2022, they were appointed CFO at Shypple.

René van Rappard began their education in 2001 at Wittenberg University, where they completed their freshman year as part of the NACEE/Fulbright program. René then attended the University of Amsterdam from 2002 to 2007, where they obtained a BSc and MSc in Econometrics. In 2006 and 2007, they participated in exchange semesters at New York University, focusing on Finance and US Politics. In 2008, they completed an exchange semester at Sciences Po, studying European politics. In 2011, they attended INSEAD and obtained an MBA with a Finance specialization and Renaissance. Finally, in 2021-2022, they attended the University of Amsterdam - Amsterdam Business School, where they obtained an Executive Master of Finance & Control (RC).
