Robyn Capobianco, PhD joins SI-BONE as Vice President of Clinical Affairs. She brings 20 years of spine medical device experience across functions including professional education, sales, clinical marketing, and clinical affairs. Most recently Dr. Capobianco was the Global Clinical Program Director for the chronic pain therapy portfolio, including spinal cord stimulation, dorsal root ganglion stimulation, and radiofrequency ablation, at Abbott's Neuromodulation division. There she was responsible for global clinical strategy including study design, podium and publication strategy, and regulatory support. From 2012-2015, Dr. Capobianco served as Director of Clinical Affairs at SI-BONE where she designed and executed innovative pre-clinical and clinical studies to support imaging analysis, diagnosis of SI joint disorders, and outcomes after SI joint fusion. This experience inspired her to pursue her doctorate. In 2018, she earned her doctorate in integrative physiology from the University of Colorado Boulder where her work in the Neural Control of Human Movement Laboratory focused on the Neuromechanics of sacroiliac joint dysfunction. Dr. Capobianco has held management roles in clinical affairs at Baxano, SpineView, and Kyphon. In addition to her PhD, Dr. Capobianco holds a B.A and M.A. in anthropology from the University of South Florida and University of Tennessee, Knoxville, respectively.
