Darren Seel, Ph.D. has extensive work experience in the field of chemistry. Darren is currently working at SI Group as a Principal Application Chemist, leading a team of materials scientists in rubber compounding and testing laboratories in the US and China. Prior to this role, they served as a Lead Application Chemist - Rubber & Adhesives, where they conducted rubber compounding and testing experiments to support research and business objectives. Darren also collaborated with cross-functional departments to determine product usage and needs for application testing and performance data. Before joining SI Group, Darren worked as a Lead Chemist - Rubber Technology and a Lead Chemist - Technology & Innovation. In these roles, they contributed to the synthesis, optimization, and laboratory process design of alkylated phenolic compounds and resins. Darren's earlier experiences include working as an Adjunct Professor at Schenectady County Community College and as a Science Instructor at Johns Hopkins University. Darren also served as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of South Carolina and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Additionally, Darren gained valuable industry experience as a Summer Intern - Unit 3 Chemistry at Dominion.

Darren Seel, Ph.D. completed their education in a chronological order. Darren earned their Bachelor of Science (B.S) degree in Chemistry from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute between 2000 and 2008. Darren then pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Applied Science from the same institute from 2004 to 2008. Lastly, they obtained their Ph.D. in Polymer Chemistry from the University of South Carolina during the period of 2008 to 2010.
