Hemant Athavale

Hemant Athavale has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Starting in 1978, they worked as a Junior Officer - Accounts at Formica India Limited, then moved on to Carbon Corporation Limited where they served as a Plant Accountant from 1982 to 1988. Following that, they worked at Vinyl Chemicals Pvt Ltd as a Manager - Accounts & Administration from 1989 to 1991. In 1992, they became the Finance Manager at Uniplas India Limited. From 1993 to 2006, Hemant worked at the Bombay Dyeing and Manufacturing Company Ltd in various roles, including General Manager Commercial, where they were responsible for accounts finalization, budgeting, and managing sales receivables. Since 2006, they have been the Director - Sourcing & Supply Chain at SI Group India, where their main focus is planning and procurement of major bulk chemicals.

Hemant Athavale completed their education with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Financial Management & Business Control from JDC Bytco Institute of Management Studies & Research in Nashik from 1976 to 1978. Hemant also obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree in Advanced Accounts & Auditing from BYK College of Commerce in Nashik between 1972 and 1976. Prior to that, Hemant attended MSM High School in Ahmedabad from 1970 to 1972, where they completed their secondary education.
