Narsi Devanathan has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several companies and roles. As of 2021, they hold the position of VP Innovation & R&D at SI Group. Prior to this, they worked at Celanese where they served as the Senior Global R&D Director from 2017 to 2021, Global R&D Director, Technology & Innovation at Celanese B.V. from 2015 to 2017, and Director, Enabling Technologies & Innovation, Engineered Materials from 2011 to 2015. Before their time at Celanese, Narsi worked at Momentive as the Global Open Innovation Leader from 2010 to 2011 and as the Quartz Technology Manager from 2004 to 2010. Narsi also had roles at GE Specialty Materials as the Global Technology Manager - CTC from 2002 to 2004, GE Silicones as the NPI & Process Engineering Manager from 2000 to 2002, and GE Plastics where they served as the Global Noryl Process Technology Manager from 1998 to 2000 and as a Lead Process Engineer from 1995 to 1998. Narsi Devanathan began their career at BP as a Research Engineer from 1991 to 1995.

Narsi Devanathan completed a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis between 1985 and 1990. Before that, they obtained a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Madras.
