Thorsten Piniek

Thorsten Piniek is a seasoned professional in the field of engineering and operations management, currently serving as Vice President of Health & Safety at Outokumpu since July 2023. Prior to this role, Thorsten held several key positions at Outokumpu Nirosta GmbH, including Vice President and Head of Dillenburg Operations where responsibilities included overseeing the cold rolling mill and ensuring high-quality production of stainless steel products. Thorsten's earlier experience encompasses management roles in manufacturing processes, project engineering in R&D, and a focus on manufacturing excellence through initiatives such as KAIZEN Workshops and Six Sigma projects. Thorsten holds a Master of Engineering degree in Industrial Engineering and a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering, complemented by training as an industrial mechanic.
