Siana Capital

Siana Capital Management LLP (Siana Capital) is a venture fund management company headquartered in Bengaluru (Bangalore), India, the country's nerve-centre for science and technology. Siana Capital also has a presence in Mumbai, to give it easier access to the country's financial services institutions. With economic activity shifting to the East, India needs to take a seat on the innovation table, alongside China and Israel. Notably, India has a large scientific talent pool and research-based incubators, which have created an opportunity for deep science innovation with government encouragement. However, follow on start-up funding for deep science and technology has been sparse. India’s deep science and technology start-ups, while thriving in their infancy in government sponsored incubators, are grossly underfunded for further growth. To monetize this gap, Siana Capital Management LLP formed the Deep Science India Fund to invest in start-ups based on path breaking deep science and technology innovations across the life cycle: from start-up to Series A and Series B financing, and then onward to expansion stages. The Fund will initially focus on transactions in Healthcare & Biotechnology, Clean Energy & Water, Agriculture & Food Processing and Robotics & Artificial Intelligence. Based on our definitive agreement with the Society of Innovation and Development (SID), an initiative of the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), one of India’s most celebrated science incubators, as well as with other alliances we have forged, we already have access to a large sitting pipeline of transactions – all of which are under evaluation. Siana Capital's vision is to become India's leading fund house in deep science and deep technology emanating from India.
