Geraldine Barnard is an accomplished professional in health and safety management with extensive experience in the mining sector. Currently serving as the Superintendent for Health and Safety at Sibanye-Stillwater since May 2017, Geraldine leads IRMA verification projects and manages integrated ISO certifications across multiple operations. Prior roles at Anglo American included SHE Risk Practitioner and Assistant Safety Officer, where responsibilities encompassed operational risk management and safety inspections. Geraldine holds a Baccaulaureus Technologiae in Safety Management from the University of South Africa and a Postgraduate Diploma in Risk Management, along with various certifications in safety management and standards.
